The Saint Anselm College men’s basketball team will host the eight-team East Regional of the NCAA Division II tournament this coming weekend.
The Hawks are the top seeds and will host No. 8 Molloy in the first round on Saturday at 5 p.m. at Stoutenburgh Gymnasium on the college campus in Goffstown.
Saint Anselm is making its seventh straight appearance in the NCAAs.
The other first-round regional matchups on Saturday are: No. 6 Saint Thomas Aquinas vs. No. 3 Le Moyne, noon; No. 7 Dominican vs. No. 2 Merrimack, 2:30 p.m.; and No. 5 Daemen vs. No. 4 New Haven at 7:30 p.m.
Semifinals are set for 5 and 7:30 p.m. on Sunday.
The championship is scheduled for next Tuesday, March 19, at 7 p.m.
St. Anselm women in NCAAs
The Saint Anselm women’s basketball team earned an at-large bid to the Division II Women’s Basketball Championship and will play nationally ranked Bentley on Friday at 2:30 p.m. in Philadelphia.
The eight-team regional will be played at the University of the Sciences, the region’s top-seeded team. USciences will play No. 8 NYIT.
Saint Anselm is the seventh seed, Bentley (28-3) the second seed.
Other first-round games are: No. 4 Le Moyne vs. No. 5 Saint Thomas Aquinas, and No. 3 Jefferson against No. 6 Stonehill.
