Southern New Hampshire University scored the first 10 points and raced out to an 18-2 lead en route to a 77-61 win over Stonehill in the Penmen's Northeast-10 men's basketball conference opener Wednesday night at the SNHU Fieldhouse.

Eamonn Joyce led all scorers with 30 points for the Penmen on 11-for-18 shooting from the field. He added a team-high 11 rebounds. Michael Almonacy added 24 points and Corry Long scored 10 for SNHU (4-0, 1-0 Northeast-10).

Will Moreton led Stonehill with 15 points and 14 rebounds. Andrew Sims scored 14 for the Skyhawks (2-4, 0-1 NE-10). 

The Penmen are at Assumption on Saturday for a 3:30 p.m. tipoff.
