The UNH men's soccer team fell behind then scored two straight goals to beat Marist 2-1 on Tuesday night in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
Rory O'Driscoll's goal in the 62nd minute broke a 1-1 tie and helped the Wildcats improve to 6-0-0. They are one of eight teams in the country with perfect records.
Tola Showunmi also scored for UNH and Wildcats goalkeeper Jassem Koleilat made one save to raise his record to 6-0-0.
Earlier Tuesday, the Wildcats learned they are ranked No. 9 in the latest United Soccer Coaches National Poll. That’s the highest ranking UNH has ever reached, besting the week of April 13, 2021, when the Wildcats were ranked No. 10.
The Wildcats have four shutouts and have outscored the opposition this season, 9-2.
They play their next two games at Wildcat Stadium, on Saturday night against Albany and next Tuesday night against Quinnipiac. Both games are 6 p.m. starts.
