A 15-point performance by freshman guard Kari Brekke was the top highlight for the University of New Hampshire women's basketball team in Wednesday's 78-53 loss to Albany in Lundholm Gym.

It was the eighth time Brekke has led UNH in scoring this season. She's averaging 10.1 points per game and is the leading scorer among America East freshmen.

Freshman forward Ivy Gogolin added 11 points and five rebounds for the Wildcats (6-22 overall, 3-12 America East). Sophomore guard Amanda Torres, a Hudson resident who played at Trinity High School, finished with seven points.

Albany (12-16, 9-6) led 15-14 after one quarter and 34-27 at halftime.
