UNH’s Josh Bauer, shown in action during the Wildcats' season opener against Boston University, was named to the All-America first team on Thursday.

Bedford’s Josh Bauer, a junior on the UNH soccer team, on Thursday was named a first-team All-America selection as voted by the United Soccer Coaches.

UNH’s Antonio Colacci earned third-team honors.

Bauer, a second-team All-America pick last season, earlier in the day was named the Eastern College Athletic Conference Division I Defensive Player of the Year. Wildcats coach Marc Hubbard, a Durham native, was named ECAC Coach of the Year and goalkeeper Alejandro Robles earned All-ECAC honors.

Bauer is of 15 semifinalists for the 2019 MAC Hermann Trophy, which is awarded annually to the nation’s top college soccer player. He had four goals and five assists.

Hubbard led the Wildcats to the America East Tournament title and a share of the conference’s regular-season crown on the way to a 15-2-3 record. UNH reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament before bowing out.

Robles, of Montery, Mexico, posted nine shutouts and was second in the nation with a 0.549 goals-against average.
