Bowie scored four runs in the first inning and never trailed in a 13-6 win over the New Hampshire Fisher Cats on Wednesday night in Bowie, Md. The teams complete the three-game series Thursday at 11:05 a.m.
Anderson Feliz hit a three-run homer in the first and drove in six runs for the Baysox (52-61). Aderlin Rodriguez went 3-for-5 with a two-run homer in the sixth, and drove in three overall. Ryan Mountcastle also homered.
Ryan McKenna, a graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Dover, went 1-for-5 and scored a run.
Fisher Cats starter Jordan Romano (10-6) took the loss, allowing seven runs (four earned) on nine hits. However, he fanned seven. Andrew Case fared no better in relief, allowing five runs on six hits in two innings.
Cavan Biggio (24) and Harold Ramirez (9) homered for New Hampshire (65-47). Bo Bichette and Eduardo Pinto also had two hits each.
