Yennsy Diaz pitched eight innings of six-hit baseball, leading the New Hampshire Fisher Cast past the host Richmond Flying Squirrels 2-1 in Eastern League action on Sunday.

Diaz allowed one run, on Brandon Van Horn’s RBI single in the seventh inning, but was otherwise dominant. He walked two and fanned four.

Bryan Baker pitched a perfect ninth for his sixth save.

New Hampshire collected seven hits, scoring once in the fifth and once in the ninth. Forrest Wall doubled home pinch-runner Josh Palacios with two outs in the ninth for the game-winning run. Nash Knight’s solo homer accounted for the Fishers’ run in the fifth.

New Hampshire has today off before opening a homestand on Tuesday night with Binghamton. Trenton comes in for the weekend.
