HARTFORD, Conn. - The Hartford Yard Goats belted three first-inning home runs and never looked back, rolling to a 9-6 Eastern League win over the New Hampshire Fisher Cats on Saturday night at Dunkin' Donuts Park.

After the Fisher Cats (4-5) took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first on Alberto Mineo's RBI single, the Yard Goats took a 4-1 lead as shortstop Alan Trejo, left fielder Vince Fernandez (two-run shot) and center fielder Mylz Jones each homered off Fisher Cats starter Yennsy Diaz (1-1).

In the top of the second, New Hampshire's Chad Spanberger hit a solo homer, his first of the year, and Kacy Clemens' sacrifice fly scored Vinny Capra to pull the Fisher Cats within 4-3.

But Hartford (3-7) came right back with two runs in the bottom of the second and two more in the sixth to make it 8-3.

New Hampshire made it interesting in the top of the the seventh by scoring three runs on a Brandon Grudzielanek's RBI groundout, a Clemens RBI infield single and Forrest Wall's run-scoring single to center, but that's as close as the Fishers could get.

Catcher Alberto Mineo had two of the Fisher Cats' eight hits while Clemens collected two RBIs.

Diaz went five innings, surrendering six earned runs on five hits and four walks while striking out five.

Jordan Foley (1-1) picked up the win with 2-2/3 innings of relief, giving up three runs on five hits and a walk.
