Kody Eaves and Chace Numata hit solo home runs to lead the Erie SeaWolves to a 3-2 Eastern League win over the New Hampshire Fisher Cats on Saturday night at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.

New Hampshire led 2-1 when Eaves hit a solo shot to right center in the sixth to tie it. Numata homered to right in the seventh to give Erie the lead.

New Hampshire took a 1-0 lead on Josh Palacios' fourth homer of the year in the first. Erie tied it in the second on a Sergio Alcantara RBI single, but Forrest Wall singled home Kevin Smith in the fifth to give the Fisher Cats the 2-1 edge.

Nate Pearson started for New Hampshire and went six innings, allowing four hits and two runs. He walked three and struck out eight. Corey Copping (1-2) took the loss in relief. He allowed a run on three hits in two innings.

Zac Houston (5-1) got the win in relief for Erie. He went three innings of scoreless, hitless ball. He fanned four. Erie starter Joey Wentz allowed two runs and four hits in five innings. He fanned nine. Nolan Blackwood pitched a perfect ninth for his third save.

The teams complete their three-game series Sunday at 1:35 p.m. From there, the Fisher Cats head to Binghamton, N.Y., to begin a road series Tuesday.
