The New Hampshire Fisher Cats spotted Hartford four runs and never recovered in a 4-3 loss to the Yard Goats on Friday night at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.

The teams play Saturday at 6:35 p.m.

Hartford scored an unearned run in the third, and got one in the fourth on Willie Abreu's RBI double, scoring Alan Trejo. The Yard Goats added two in the fifth, on an RBI double by Vince Fernandez, scoring Colton Welker, and an Arvicent Perez single that scored Fernandez.

The Fisher Cats scored all three of their runs in the sixth. Brock Lundquist singled to score Santiago Espinal, and Nash Knight doubled home Lundquist and Kevin Smith.

Patrick Murphy (0-4) took the loss, allowing all four runs on six hits in six innings. He fanned eight. Brandon Gold (2-2) got the win, throwing five shutout innings, allowing six hits. Ben Bowden notched his eighth save, pitching the ninth inning and striking out two.
