Christian Williams hit a two-run homer in the 10th inning and the New Hampshire Cats held off the host Portland Sea Dogs 8-7 in an Eastern League finale on Monday.

The Fisher Cats were 32-40 (fifth in the Eastern Division) in the second half of the season. The Sea Dogs finished 34-35 (fourth in the division).

Josh Palacios ended the season on a bright note, hitting a double and single. He ended the year with a .266 average.

Kevin Smith, Williams and Logan Warmoth also had two hits in the Fishers’ 12-hit attack.

Luke Tendler and Jeremy Rivera homered for Portland.
