The New Hampshire Fisher Cats were being held to three singles before the eighth inning and trailed the host Trenton Thunder, 2-0.

Then things changed.

The Fisher Cats scored three runs in the eighth and four more in the ninth to silence the Thunder 7-2 in an Eastern League game on Tuesday night.

Brock Lundquist singled home one run, Nash Knight doubled home another and Christian Williams followed with run-scoring triple, all with two outs in the eighth. A triple was the key hit of the ninth, as well, off the bat of Cullen Large, and that one knocked home three runs. Brock Lundquist's sacrifice fly plated Large for the final run of the game.

Danny Young earned his third save by pitching a perfect final two innings, fanning two. Fisher Cats starter Yennsey Diaz (10-8) was the winner, going seven innings and allowing both runs, on seven hits. He fanned two and walked one.

The teams finish their series in Trenton with a Wednesday matinee (1 p.m.). New Hampshire then returns home to start a series on Thursday night with the Binghamton Rumble Ponies
