Top prospect Nate Pearson’s scoreless string ended in the New Hampshire Fisher Cats’ 3-2 loss at Erie in an Eastern League game on Sunday.

Pearson (0-4) hadn’t given up a run in 15 1/3 innings before surrendering two in the fourth inning, on Josh Lester’s two-run homer. Derek Hill’s RBI single in the fifth, also off Pearson, provided the winning margin.

Nash Knight hit a solo homer in the second inning, and Josh Palacios tripled home Andres Sotillo in the seventh for New Hampshire.

The Fisher Cats take Monday off before opening a six-game homestand on Tuesday night at 7 against the Akron RubberDucks.
