The New Hampshire Fisher Cats clubbed a season-high four homers -- two by Kevin Smith -- in a 9-4 Eastern League victory over the Binghamton Rumble Ponies on Thursday night at Northeastern Delta Dental Stadium in Manchester.
Riley Adams hit a two-run homer in the third inning, Smith cracked solo shots in the fourth and fifth innings, and Chad Spanberger added a two-run blast later in the fifth as the Fisher Cats built a 6-2 lead and rolled. Smith now has 19 homers for the season.
The hosts added three in the eighth on run-scoring singles by Cullen Large, Spanberger and Adams.
New Hampshire outhit Binghamton, 12-11.
William Oullette, the second of four New Hampshire pitchers, earned the win to even his record at 2-2. Oullette worked three innings and allowed one run on four hits.
The teams continue their series tonight at 7 p.m. in Manchester.
