Three New Hampshire Fisher Cats pitchers held Binghamton to two hits in a 3-1 victory in a two-hour Eastern League game on Sunday at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium in Manchester.

Starter Yennsey Diaz (1-0) went six innings, allowing one hit, Tayler Saucedo worked the seventh and eighth innings and surrendered the Rumble Ponies’ run — a solo homer by Barrett Barnes — and Kirby Snead worked a perfect ninth for his second save.

The key blow of the game was a two-run homer by New Hampshire’s Joshua Palacios in the fifth inning, breaking a scoreless tie. Chad Spanberger added an RBI double in the seventh.

The Fisher Cats are scheduled to open a three-game series against the Reading Fightin Phils tonight at 6:35 p.m.
