The New Hampshire Fisher Cats were held hitless over the final four innings and lost to the host Hartford Yard Goats 6-3 in an Eastern League game on Sunday.

New Hampshire took a 3-1 on solo homers by Nash Knight and Kevin Smith in the fourth inning. Forrest Wall singled in the fifth and after that, the Fisher Cats couldn't do anything with the bats.

Hartford's Mylz Jones and Brian Serven hit solo homers in the sixth inning to break up a close game.  Scott Burcham and Bret Boswell also went deep for Hartford. Burcham's homer was the only hit allowed by New Hampshire starter Nate Pearson, who worked three innings, fanning two and walking two.

William Oullette (1-1) took the loss.

The Fisher Cats returned home to open a three-game home series with the Portland Sea Dogs starting Monday night (7:05 p.m.)
