Fisher Cats lose to Yard Goats

The New Hampshire Fisher Cats fell back into a first-place tie Friday night with a 3-1 loss to the Hartford Yard Goats at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.

Trenton beat Reading, 3-2, putting the teams even atop the Eastern League’s Eastern Division with three games to play.

The Fisher Cats (75-60) were held to six hits, scoring their only run in the seventh on a Patrick Cantwell sacrifice fly, scoring Harold Ramirez.

Hartford (63-71) scored two in the first on RBI singles by Roberto Ramos and Drew Weeks. The Yard Goats scored an insurance run in the ninth on a wild pitch.

Starter T.J. Zeuch (9-5) took the loss.

The teams play again tonight at 7:05 p.m.
