Brock Lundquist cracked a three-run single to cap a four-run seventh inning as the New Hampshire Fisher Cats beat the Reading Fightin Phils 5-1 in an Eastern League game on Friday night before a crowd of 4,031 fans at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium in Manchester.

Chad Spanberger's groundout in the seventh scored Christian Williams from third base to break a 1-1 tie. Williams had opened the inning with a single and advanced to third on Logan Warmoth's ground-rule double.

Starter Hector Perez (7-4) worked seven innings, allowing one run on five hits. He walked three and fanned four.

Kevin Smith finished with three singles for New Hampshire.

The teams play a doubleheader today in Manchester, with the first pitch at 5:05 p.m.
