RBI singles by Vinny Capra and Santiago Espinal in the ninth inning lifted the New Hampshire Fisher Cats to a 7-5 win over the Erie SeaWolves on Friday night in Erie, Pa.
New Hampshire scored four in the fourth on a Josh Palacios RBI double, a Brock Lundquist double that scored two, and a Chad Spanberger RBI triple. That have the Fisher Cats a 4-3 lead. Lundquist's RBI single in the fifth upped the lead to 5-3.
Erie's Kody Eaves tied it with a two-run homer in the eighth, but New Hampshire rallied to score two in the bottom of the frame to win it.
Erie took a 3-0 lead after two on Derek Hill's solo homer and Cam Gibson's RBI double in the first, and Isaac Paredes' run-scoring single in the second.
Corey Copping (1-1) got the win in relief, allowing five hits and two runs in three innings. Dany Jimenez pitched a scoreless ninth for his second save. Fisher Cats starter Joey Murray went five innings, allowing three runs on five hits. He struck out seven.
Erie reliever Ethan DeCaster (3-2) took the loss.
The Fisher Cats, sixth in the Eastern Division at 18-25, take on Erie on Saturday at 7:05 p.m.
