The New Hampshire Fisher Cats were held to six hits in a 5-2 loss to the Richmond Flying Squirrels in Eastern League play Saturday night in Richmond, Va.
New Hampshire (67-48) got on the board first in the fourth inning as Harold Ramirez scored on a Max Pentecost RBI groundout.
Richmond (55-61) scored two in the sixth and two in the seventh to take charge. John Polonius and John Riley had RBI singles in the sixth. In the seventh, Luigi Rodriguez doubled home a run and Dylan Davis hit a solo homer. The Squirrels added one in the eighth.
New Hampshire made it interesting in the ninth as Pentecost scored an unearned run, but Richmond closer Dillon McNamara notched the final two outs to earn the save, his sixth.
The Fisher Cats' Tayler Saucedo (3-2) pitched well through five but ran into trouble in the sixth. He took the loss, allowing two runs, one earned, on four hits. He walked four and fanned two.
Logan Webb went five innings of three-hit, one-run ball. He walked three. Sam Wolff (1-1) got the win two innings of scoreless, one-hit relief.
