Brock Lundquist's three-run homer sparked a five-run second inning for the New Hampshire Fisher Cats in a 13-8 win over the Hartford Yard Goats in Eastern League play on Thursday night in Hartford, Conn.

Vinny Capra added a solo homer in the second, and Nash Knight hit a solo shot in the third as New Hampshire (8-13, second half) built a 10-0 lead in the fifth. Josh Palacios had an RBI single, Kevin Smith drove in a run with a sacrifice fly and Christian Williams tripled a run home. Williams hit a three-run homer in the ninth to pad New Hampshire's lead.

Hartford (9-11, second half) came back with five in the bottom of the fifth to make it a game. Manuel Melendez had a two-run single, and Tyler Nevin, Arvicent Perez and Bret Boswell had RBI singles. 

William Ouellette (1-0) earned the win with an inning of relief, allowing one run on three hits. Hartford starter Ty Culbreth (3-8) took the loss, allowing four runs, only one earned in 1 2/3 innings.

The teams continue their series tonight at 7.
