Right-hander Andrew Sopko pitched shutout ball over seven innings to earn his second straight win as the New Hampshire Fisher Cats defeated the Hartford Yard Goats, 1-0, Thursday night at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium in Manchester.

Sopko (2-2) allowed three hits, struck out three batters and did not issue a walk. Reliever Ty Tice did not allow a hit over two innings to earn his first save.

It was New Hampshire's first shutout of the season.

The Fisher Cats (13-13) scored the game's lone run in the sixth inning when Santiago Espinal singled home Nash Knight. Espinal (2-for-3) was the lone New Hampshire batter to record more than one hit.
