MANCHESTER -- Chad Spanberger's RBI single brought home Cullen Large to give the New Hampshire Fisher Cats a 1-0 win over the Binghamton Rumble Ponies in an 11-inning pitchers' duel Friday night at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.

Spanberger was the only Fisher Cat with two hits on the night. New Hampshire could only muster six hits off a pair of Binghamton pitchers: starter Mickey Jannis, who tossed eight shutout innings, and Blake Taylor, who was tagged with the tough-luck loss.

Starter Thomas Hatch went seven scoreless innings for New Hampshire in his start, allowing just three hits while striking out four. Danny Young threw two scoreless innings in relief before turning it over to Vinny Nittoli (3-2), who shut the door for the final two innings and was credited with the win.

The teams will meet again Saturday night in Manchester, with a 7:05 start time.
