Logan Warmoth tripled home the go-ahead run in the eighth inning then scored on Kevin Smith's homer as the New Hampshire Fisher Cats beat the host Trenton Thunder 4-2 in Eastern League action on Thursday night.

Warmoth, called up from Dunedin of the Florida State League on June 14, also contributed two singles as the Fisher Cats made a winner of reliever Justin Dillon (1-0). Dillon pitched a scoreless seventh inning.

Danny Young recorded five outs in the eighth and ninth, and Jackson McClelland earned a four-pitch save, his first, retiring David Metzgar on a fly ball with the tying runs on first and second.

The home run by Smith was his team-leading eighth of the season.

The Fisher Cats outhit the Thunder 12-8. 

The team play again tonight in Trenton.
