(Reuters) — Hometown favorite Bernd Ritthammer carded five birdies to join overnight leader Robert MacIntyre at the top of the leaderboard, setting up a tense finale heading into Sunday’s final round of the European Open in Germany.

By sinking a lengthy birdie putt on the 16th hole at North Conway Country Club on Thursday, Craig Steckowych gave him and partner Scott Peters the edge they needed to win the New Hampshire Senior Four-Ball Championship.
