After a rainy, spring day at The Oaks Golf Links in Somersworth for the first of six State Amateur Qualifiers, 17 golfers are advancing on to the New Hampshire Amateur Championship. The State Am is set for July at Portsmouth Country Club.

Kingswood Golf Club's Christopher carded a 75 to earn medalist honors.

Following in close behind and tied for second at this qualifying location were Brett Wilson (The Golf Club of New England), Mathew Gover (Atkinson Resort & CC), and Alec Brunelle (Atkinson Resort & CC). All three golfers made the cut with a 76 (+5).

Other familiar names advancing were Bryce Zimmerman (Nashua CC) with a 78 (+7), Brendan O’Sullivan (Derryfield CC) with a 78 (+7) and NHGA Junior Golf Tour member Elliot Wallace (Manchester CC) with a 79.

Others who qualified (86 or better): Jabe Felch (76), Evan Desjardins (79), Keegan Branham (80), Will Ducharme (82), Joe Armstrong (82), Cy Leclerc (83), Dan Mulkern (84), Michael Waterman (86), Josh Bolduc (86) and Samuel Reynolds (86).
