Hooksett’s Rich Berberian Jr. qualified for the PGA Championship for the fourth consecutive year Wednesday after an even-par 72 left him tied for sixth at the PGA Professional Championship at Belfair in Bluffton, S.C.
Berberian, 31, a former assistant pro at Windham Country Club, was 1-under for the four-day event with a 286. He was a model of consistency, carding birdies and two bogeys to go along with 14 pars in the third round Tuesday and the final round Wednesday.
The top 20 players will play in the PGA Championship, which starts Thursday, May 16 at Bethpage Black in Farmingdale, N.Y.
Alex Beach of Stamford, Conn., won the event at 10-under par.
