Ryan Bourque tossed a one-hitter to lead the Timberlane baseball team to a 10-0, six-inning, mercy-rule victory over Trinity of Manchester in the season opener for both Division I teams on Wednesday in Plaistow.

Bourque did not allow a walk and struck out nine batters on the mound and helped his cause at the plate, logging two hits, a walk and an RBI.

Cam Sweet helped the Owls’ cause in their six-run sixth inning with his three-RBI triple.

Trinity starting pitcher Joe Sungen, a sophomoretransfer student, allowed one earned run over three-plus innings.

Exeter 9, Nashua South 6: In Exeter, the Blue Hawks (1-0) erupted for seven runs in the second inning. Exeter starter Colin Jackson earned the win, allowing three hits and a walk alongside eight strikeouts over five innings. South is 0-1.

Windham 2, Merrimack 1: In Windham, sophomore Westin Lippold struck out 10 batters over a complete game’s work and Tommy Langlois went 2-for-3 with two RBIs for the Jaguars in both team’s season opener.

Keene 5, Winnacunnet 2: In Hampton, Noah Timmer earned the win and Marcus Soucia got the save for Keene in the season opener for both teams. Hayes Waddell had two of Winnacunnet’s four hits.

Concord 9, Alvirne 4: In Concord, Eric Sullivan and Cam Thompson each logged two hits for the Crimson Tide (1-0). Adrian Kennedy earned the win, allowing five hits and striking out four over four innings.Ryan Santos had two hits and Alex Boulay scored twice for Alvirne of Hudson, 1-1. Nick Jacques pitched three innings of shutout relief for the Broncos.

Bow 13, Pembroke 3: In Pembroke, Nate Cassidy and Hayden Drew each had two hits for the Spartans, who made five errors in Bow’s six-run second inning.

Bishop Guertin 3, Spaulding 0: In Nashua, Brett Anderson got the win, going five innings, allowing two hits and striking out five. He also went 1-for-2 with a double and a run. Taylor Proulx homered. Sam Boudreau went 1-for-2 with a double and an RBI.


Concord 9, Alvirne 5: In Hudson, Alice Rosenberg earned her first varsity win by pitching a seven-hitter and helping her cause at the plate with a home run. Senior Carly Torrance went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored and also turned a double play for Concord (1-0). Alvirne is 1-1.

Bow 12, Pembroke 7: In Pembroke, Bow pitcher Lauren Colby struck out 10 in the complete-game win. For Pembroke, Olivia McCarty had three hits, and Kayla Paquin and Brooke Davison notched two hits.

Campbell 15, Hillsboro/Deering 0: In Litchfield, Marissa Carignan pitched a complete game, giving up two hits and a walk with five strikeouts. Alexa Robert hit a two-run homer, Riley Gamache had a triple and Chloe Steiniger notched a double.

Raymond 4, Somersworth 2: In Raymond, Rachel Sturtevant struck out 11 in seven innings and Erin Roderick hit a solo home run in the sixth inning to propel Raymond. Ema Boucher and Hannah Reardon each had two hits for the Rams.

Spaulding 9, Bishop Guertin 7: In Rochester, Petra Bajdek went 4-for-4 with a double and a triple and scored four runs, but BG came up short in its Division I opener. Freshman Ava Therrien and sophomore Stephanie Coulombe each collected two hits for the Cardinals.Winnacunnet 10, Keene 2: In Keene, Macie Harkovich tossed a four-hitter and struck out five batters while Stephanie Reed and Hannah Thompson each had three hits at the plate for Winnacunnet of Hampton (1-0).

Nashua South 15, Keene/Monadnock 3: In Keene, Emma Pucillo had five draw controls and five ground balls while Abbey Rowe had three saves for Nashua South in both team’s season opener.

Pembroke 21, Gilford 10: In Pembroke, Shelby Cole finished with five goals and two assists, while Ashley Hart, Molly McLean and Kate Sullivan also scored for Gilford.
