Though he was one of five goal scorers in Hanover High School’s 5-2 win over Portsmouth on Saturday, Charlie Adams’ goal meant a little something extra.

The senior found the back of the net for the 50th time in his career, tying him for the all-time lead in program history. Adams also added an assist.

Hanover scored twice in the first five minutes of the game with both goals coming within 21 seconds of the other. Eric Ringer, who finished with two assists as well, started the scoring before Adams doubled the Marauders’ lead.

Blake Palmer, Amane Matsuoka and Pat Osborn all scored in the second half for Hanover (5-2).

John Pisani and Victor Dalesio scored for Portsmouth (2-5).

Hopkinton 4, Laconia 0: In Laconia, Shea Dickson had a goal and two assists for Hopkinton (4-2). Dickson got the match’s scoring started when he found the back of the net after receiving a Bryce Charron pass in the 10th minute. He later assisted on Charron’s goal in the 50th minute and again on Andrew Beckwith’s in the 68th minute. Beckwith assisted Kevin Newton-Delgado in the 26th minute. Lucas Beane had five saves for Laconia (2-5).

Bedford 1, Windham 1 (Friday): In Bedford, two Division I unbeatens remained that way after the tie. Zach Verow scored for the Bulldogs (5-0-1), assisted by Riccardo Foltran, and Bedford goalie Aiden Wisherd was strong with four saves. Windham is 4-0-2.

Goffstown 3, Pinkerton 0 (Friday): In Goffstown, the Grizzlies (2-3-1) scored all three goals in the second half, two by Thiago Fantecelli. Ronnie Morgan had the other marker. Myles Green stopped six shots for the shutout. Thomas Richmond (two saves) and Owen Belanger (six saves) split goalkeeping duties for the Astros (1-4-1). Michael Curtin, Jake Spezzaferri, Andy MacDonald and Giovanni Iob played well for Pinkerton.

Field Hockey

Bishop Guertin 1, Bedford 0: In Bedford, Sarah Coyle was the hero, scoring the game-winning goal 2:26 into the overtime period for the Cardinals (3-2). Britney Pearson was credited with the assist. Monina Tosi and Makenna Reekie combined for the shutout in the Bishop Guertin net. Bedford is 1-3-1.

Girls’ Volleyball

Epping 3, Raymond 0: In Raymond, senior Jasmyne Bickford had 12 aces, 13 digs and two assists for Epping (3-1). Senior Belle Snyder added an ace, eight kills and five digs, and senior Oakley Lustenberger finished with an ace, three kills, nine digs and 26 assists. Raymond is 1-4.

Epping 3, Mascenic 0 (Friday): In Epping, Hayley Pelletier had six aces, eight kills and 25 digs for Epping (2-1). Alexis Kailey had seven kills, three blocks and six digs. Jasmyne Bickford had six aces and 38 digs. Oakley Lustenberger had an ace, seven digs and 23 assists.
