Seventh-seeded Hopkinton upset No. 2 Gilford in a Division III quarterfinal match up on Saturday as Garrett Fitzgerald won it on a penalty kick.

The match was tied 1-1 at the end of regulation and overtime.

After Aiden Burns made three saves to begin the seventh round of PKs, Fitzgerald finally put the game to rest. Andrew Beckwith, Derek West, Ian Heck and Logan Rockwood also scored for the Hawks during the shootout.

Kevin Newton-Delgado scored Hopkinton’s goal in regulation.

Hopkinton (12-4-1) plays Mascenic in Wednesday’s semifinal at Laconia High.

Hanover 2, Keene 1: In Hanover, Amane Matsuoka scored the game-winning goal with 15 minutes remaining. Charlie Adams was credited with the assist, his second of the game after helping on Eric Ringer’s first-half goal that opened the scoring for No. 3 Hanover (15-3-1). Trevor Fay scored for No. 6 Keene (11-5-2). Hanover advances to the Division I semifinals on Tuesday, where it will play Manchester Central at Stellos Stadium.

Bedford 2, Concord 0: In Bedford, Vitor Rodrigues and Zach Verow did the scoring for top-seeded Bedford (16-0-1). Aiden Wisherd picked up his 12th shutout of the season. No. 9 Concord finishes 7-7-3. The Bulldogs will play Windham on Tuesday at Stellos Stadium in a Division I semifinal match.

Windham 1, Nashua South 0 (PKs): In Windham, the No. 4 Jaguars put an end to a close match in penalty kicks to advance to the Division I semifinals. Windham (12-3-2) will play Bedford on Tuesday at Stellos Stadium. Fifth-seeded South finishes the season 11-5-1.

Lebanon 3, Hollis/Brookline 1: In Lebanon, Logan Falzarano finished with a goal and an assist to lead No. 2 Lebanon (15-2). Nathan Magari and Ryan Oliveira also scored for Lebanon. Danny Kennedy made good on a second-half penalty kick for the Cavaliers (11-6-1). Lebanon will play No. 3 Oyster River in a Division II semifinal match at Bill Ball Stadium on Wednesday.

Sunapee 6, Moltounborough 1: In Sunapee, the Lakers received goals from five different players on their way to victory. Michael Mullen had two. Harper Flint, Darren Hutlon, Matthew Tschudein and Drew Nichols also scored for No. 3 Sunapee (15-2). No. 6 Moltounborough finishes 10-6-1. The Lakers play No. 2 Woodsville in a Division IV semifinal on Tuesday at Laconia High.

Volleyball

Dover 3, Pinkerton 2: In Derry, the sixth-seeded Green Wave upset the No. 3 Astros to advance to the semifinals. Rachel Vitko and Caitlin Quinn each had 17 service points and four aces to lead Dover (15-5).

Ella Dandrade led Pinkerton (17-3) with 11 kills, five aces and 26 digs. Emma Bernard had nine kills. Nicole Valcourt contributed six blocks and Ella Koelb had 26 assists and eight aces.

Portsmouth 3, Hollis/Brookline 2: In Hollis, the seventh-ranked Clippers (15-5) handed the second-seeded Cavaliers (19-1) their first loss of the season in the Division I quarterfinals.

Kaleigh Whalen led Hollis/Brookline with 19 kills, and Maren Anderson added 17 with Hannah Close contributing eight. Sophie Jordan had 50 assists and seven aces, Sammie Sheppard notched 15 digs and Ellie Jordan had eight aces.
