The Pinkerton Academy boys’ basketball team secured its second win of the season on Wednesday with a 51-48 win over host Bedford. Jay Reynolds led the charge with 24 points for the Astros (2-11), who ended a three-game losing skid. Bedford slipped to 4-9 and has lost seven consecutive games.

Exeter 64, Alvirne 45: In Exeter, Kevin Henry (16 points), Josh Morissette (15) and Ryan Grijalva (14) each hit double figures for Exeter (13-0). Alvirne (7-6) got 12 points from Ryan Weston and 10 apiece from Meshack Mugari and Joe Canelas.

Londonderry 65, Timberlane 56: In Londonderry, the Lancers (11-2) led 40-20 at halftime as Ethan May scored 10 of his game-high 17 points in the first two quarters. Timberlane (1-12) picked up 16 points from Cam Ross.

Souhegan 41, Bow 38: In Amherst, the Sabers (10-4) held on for the win as the Falcons missed a chance to tie at the buzzer. Matt McCool (11 points) hit four free throws in the final two minutes to separate Souhegan. Jeff Boehm posted a game-high 19 points for the Sabers.

Portsmouth 49, Goffstown 43: In Goffstown, Alex Tavares’ 19 points pushed Portsmouth (9-4) to a fifth consecutive win. Cal Hewitt added 11 for the Clippers and Coleman Brewster tossed in 10. Connor Hujsak paced Goffstown (5-8) with 18 points.

Derryfield 62, Hinsdale 55: In Manchester, Max Karpawich (19 points) and Max Byron (14) provided a one-two punch for the Cougars (8-8). Hinsdale fell to 3-12.

Girls’ basketball

Pelham 59, Timberlane 24: In Pelham, Olivia Gagnon scored a game-high 21 points and Abbey Schwab finished with 16 to lead Pelham (10-7).

Central 44, Trinity 23: Central received 12 points from Destiny Jordan and 12 from Hannah Autenrieth at Trinity. The win raised Central’s record to 10-5. Trinity dropped to 1-13.

Bishop Guertin 60, Windham 43: In Windham, Erin Carney’s 25-point effort helped the Cardinals (15-0). Sarah Dempsey scored 19 points for the Jaguars (9-6).

Goffstown 46, Portsmouth 45: In Portsmouth, a late 3-pointer from Sofia Piriz helped Goffstown end Portsmouth’s seven-game winning streak. Goffstown (9-6) ended a six-game losing streak. Portsmouth dropped to 12-3.

Lebanon 55, Pembroke 31: In Pembroke, Becky Wright scored 20 first-half points and Sally Rainey offered a double-double (10 points, 14 rebounds) to help the Raiders improve to 17-1.

Boys’ hockey

Pinkerton 3, Exeter 2, OT: At the Ice Den in Hooksett, junior center Mason Drouin scored from the doorstep in overtime to complete a hat trick. Dakota Robinson had 18 saves for the Astros (12-2).

Ryan Huppe and Brendan Doyle scored for the Blue Hawks (8-5-1) and goalie Jude Rogles made 24 saves.

Hanover 4, Concord 0: At Everett Arena in Concord, three power-play goals propelled the Hanover while Hanover goaltender Ben Plottner made 18 saves to record the shutout. Matty Gardner, Cam Woods and Charlie Plottner scored Hanover’s power-play goals. Hans Williams also scored for the Marauders (12-2). Parker Taylor stopped 22 shots for Concord (11-3).

Bishop Guertin 6, Bishop Brady 0: At Tri-Town Arena in Hooksett, six players scored for the Cardinals (8-7, 8-10 overall). Ben Young, Mike Kiely, Luke Vogel, Sean Kelley, Derek Amaral and Christian Milward lit the lamp, and goalie Nick Hall stopped 13 shots for the shutout.
