Sophomore Colin Brodeur had a two-run single in the top of the sixth inning to give the Manchester Memorial baseball team the lead for good in its 4-3 triumph over Spaulding on Tuesday in Rochester. Brodeur’s hit with the bases loaded broke a 2-2 tie.

Brodeau also collected the win for allowing one run in three innings of relief. Spaulding stranded two runners in the bottom of the seventh. Jack Fitzgerald added two hits for the Crusaders (2-1). Keegan Calero and Garrett Langis each had two hits for the Red Raiders (1-2).

Manchester West 8, Kearsarge 7: In North Sutton, Eddy Rojas had three hits, drove in three and scored twice as West won its Division II opener. West’s Noah Orr struck out six and limited Kearsarge (0-1) to three earned runs in five innings.

Londonderry 3, Exeter 2: In Exeter, Nolan Lincoln went the distance and struck out nine as Londonderry (4-0) handed Exeter (3-1) its first loss. Lincoln allowed six hits and walked one. The Lancers capped the scoring with two runs in the top of the fifth. Reece Manor had a hit and an RBI for Londonderry. Harrison Lendrum held the Lancers to four hits and one earned run in six innings.

Bishop Guertin 13, Salem 2: In Nashua, Sam Boudreau had three hits, three RBIs and scored twice for BG (3-0). The Cardinals scored six runs in the first inning and led 10-1 after two. Aiden Coyne added two hits for the Cardinals. Jake Champagne had a hit and an RBI for Salem (0-1).

Hopkinton 12, Conant 2 (5 innings): In Hopkinton, junior Sam Crawford earned the win on the mound and collected two hits, including a two-run home run. Crawford pitched all five innings, struck out four and allowed four hits. He threw 64 pitches. The Hawks improved to 2-1.

Pelham 7, Milford 4: In Pelham, J.J. Jepson had two hits, an RBI, scored a run and also pitched 6 1/3 innings for Pelham (2-0). Jepson allowed two runs (one earned) on three hits, struck out five and walked six. Pelham’s Bobby Charette had an RBI single that broke a 1-1 tie in the sixth. Tyler Pike added a two-run double in the sixth, when the Pythons scored six times. Kolbe Heiple had a two-run double in the seventh for Milford (1-3).

Softball

Milford 13, Pelham 0 (6 innings): In Pelham, Raven Comtois and Amanda Atkinson each homered for Milford (4-0). Jenna DeAngelis struck out 13, walked one and allowed two hits in six innings. Julia Vauter and Lanna Pierce had Pelham’s hits, both singles. The Pythons fell to 1-1.

Spaulding 11, Manchester Memorial 4: Emersyn Provencher led Memorial at the plate going 2-for-2 with a double and a two-run homer. Taylor Wilson and Abbey Durell each had a double for the Crusaders. Izzi Eames earned the win for Spaulding.

Londonderry 6, Exeter 4: In Londonderry, Alivia Proulx and Delaney McGurn each had three hits and Alyssa Vaillancourt homered for the Lancers (1-3). Jillian Glynn pitched a complete game and struck out four to collect her first varsity victory. Sam Wiberg had two hits, including a solo home run, and drove in two for the Blue Hawks (2-1). Exeter also received three hits from Trinity Young.

St. Thomas 10, Sanborn 4: In Dover, Maddie Predaris had three hits and Catherine Torr added two hits and three RBIs for St. Thomas (2-0), which scored the game’s first 10 runs. Jill Cortez pitched six shutout innings and held Sanborn to two hits and struck out 12. The loss dropped Sanborn to 0-3.

Concord 3, Windham 1: In Concord, Abigail Rochette pitched a complete game and struck out 16 for the Crimson Tide. Aislinn Milner, Jasmine Moskowitz, Grace Bono and Larissa Piessens each collected one hit to lead the Windham offense. Windham’s Abby Bedient surrendered three unearned runs on seven hits over six innings. She struck out eight and and didn’t walk a batter. Anita DiBuono led Concord with two hits.

Bishop Brady 13, Mascoma Valley 0 (5 innings): In Canaan, Jayden Johnson limited Mascoma to one hit, struck out 10 and didn’t walk a batter. Ami Rivera led the Bishop Brady (2-1) offense with three hits and three runs scored. Halle Laramie added two hits, two runs and an RBI. Morgan Prentiss had the only hit for Mascoma (0-1).

Boys’ lacrosse

Derryfield 18, ConVal 4: In Manchester, the Cougars (4-0) received three goals and an assist from Henry Howe and stretched their winning streak to 57 games. Johnny MacLean (2-3), Matt Weiner (2-1) and Antonio Imbriano (1-2) were among Derryfield’s other offensive standouts. Jaden Smith scored twice for ConVal (0-1).

Goffstown 16, John Stark 2: In Goffstown, Konnaugh Donovan collected four goals and Griffin Cook finished with three goals and three assists to lead the Grizzlies (2-1). Nick Mason added three goals for Goffstown, and Andrew McCarthy scored twice and won six of eight faceoffs. Kayden Easter scored twice for John Stark (1-1).

Central 13, Bow 11: In Manchester, Alex Hawkom had seven goals and an assist to highlight Central’s victory. Alec Kacavas (two goals), T.J. Pacheco (one goal), Will Hebert (one goal), Gavin Lins (one goal) and Photi Vougias (one goal) also scored for Central, which received a 27-save performance from Owen McNichols.

Portsmouth 13, Coe-Brown 0: In Portsmouth, Bears goalie Zach Sheehan made 17 saves in his team's opener. Dominic Cronshaw, Dylan White and Nick Allsup also played well for Coe-Brown.

Girls’ lacrosse

Bishop Guertin 16, Pinkerton 12: In Nashua, Pinkerton Academy of Derry trimmed Bishop Guertin’s lead to one goal with 12:19 remaining before the Cardinals ended the game on a 4-1 run. Lindsay Hult logged a game-high seven goals and three assists and Rylee Bouvier added four goals and a helper for the Cardinals (4-0). Lily Auger and Kiley Davis both had a hat trick and Lauren Lisauskas added two goals and two assists for the Astros (3-1).

Londonderry 23, Central 12: In Londonderry, Katelyn Parker had five goals, two assists, four draw controls and four ground balls for the Little Green. Emma Dudley (three goals, one assist), Ryleigh Cavanaugh (two goals), Emily Ahern (one goal) and Lauren Infantine (one goal) also scored for Central, which received 12 saves from Kasey Kfoury.
