Freshman Summer Pescinski hit a grand slam and a three-run homer to lead the Pembroke Academy softball team past Bow 19-11 on Tuesday. Pembroke (7-4) also received big games from Brooke Davison and Charlotte Corbit, each of whom had three hits. Chloe Carrigan pitching a complete-game win with nine strikeouts.

Lauren Colby had five hits for host Bow (2-6).

Baseball

Timberlane 10, Salem 0 (5 innings): In Plaistow, Connor Abood pitched five innings of one-hit ball, striking out and walking four while holding the Blue Devils (0-12) scoreless. He also picked himself up on the offensive end with a game-high two RBIs. Timberlane (6-8) scored two runs in every frame.

Derryfield 9, Concord Christian 4: In Manchester, Luke Rosenthal tossed six innings for the Cougars (4-7), striking out six while allowing three hits and one earned run. Ridge Gonzales and Janai Cruz each chipped in two RBIs at the plate. Colin McCaigue had one RBI. Concord Christian is 4-5.

Bishop Guertin 7, Goffstown 5: In Goffstown, the Cardinals improved to 13-3 by rallying for four runs in the fifth inning and three in the seventh. Brett Anderson's two-run single in the seventh gave BG the lead and Alex George knocked in an insurance run. Anderson earned the win in relief, pitching a scoreless seventh. Sam Boudreau had a big day for BG with a double and two singles. Goffstown is 7-7.

Boys’ Lacrosse

Derryfield 8, Windham 2: In Windham, the Cougars (12-0) got a pair of goals from four different players with Gunnar Senatore, Jonny MacLean, Matt Weimer and Alex Neville accounting for the Derryfield damage. Avry Truex had seven stops in net for the Cougars as Jake Rust was one of two Jaguars (4-5) to find the cage.

Derryfield takes a 65-game win streak into Friday’s home contest against Division I Exeter.

John Stark 12, Alvirne 2: In Weare, the John Stark (5-5) defense prevented Alvirne from getting in close on the offensive end, which helped Generals goalie Ethan Konrad come up with 15 saves. Kayden Easter and Cam Fortin led the way with four goals apiece and Peyton Marden added a hat trick to his two assists. Alvirne is 0-10.

Littleton 8, Moultonborough 0: In Littleton, Nick Sanborn threw a one-hitter with 13 strikeouts for the Crusaders (7-7), adding a 2-for-3 showing at the plate with a pair of RBIs. The loss ends a six-game winning streak for Moultonborough (8-2).

Girls’ Lacrosse

Manchester Central 19, Salem 5: In Salem, Central’s (5-4) offense shared the ball effectively as it notched 17 assists on 19 goals. Ryleigh Cavanaugh (five goals, four assists) and Emily Ahern (four goals, five assists) were tied for the team-lead in points with nine each.

Katelyn Parker also chipped in five goals.

After taking a 7-4 lead into halftime, Central goalie Kasey Kfoury limited Salem (1-11) to one goal in the second half.

Campbell 12, Gilford 11: Jocelynn Theriault had five goals and two assists for Campbell (5-5). Kate Stoncius added three goals and an assist, and Josephine Oberto added two goals. Autumn Thompson played well defensively.

Shelby Cole scored six Golden Eagle goals. Ashley Hart made her first appearance in goal for Gilford and had 12 saves.

Bishop Brady 14, Trinity 4: In Concord, Sarah Gagne and Courtney Ingham combined to score all four Trinity (1-10) goals as each tallied two.

Eliza Blomquist had 11 saves in net for the Pioneers. Bishop Brady is 3-6.

Boys' volleyball

Pinkerton 3, Winnacunnet 2: In Hampton, the Astros improved to 6-5 by scores of 24-26, 17-25, 26-24, 25-23 and 15-9. Hunter Hazard had 27 kills and three aces, Wil Mills contributed 16 service points, Lucas Lizotte added 35 assists, and Andy Bolduc and Justin Dunne had five blocks each.
