MacKenzie MacEachern and Ellie Flynn both scored twice to lead the Bedford High School girls’ soccer team to an 8-1 home victory over Spaulding of Rochester at Bulldog Stadium on Monday.
MacEachern also assisted on Ava Simunovic’s goal. Simunovic assisted on Flynn’s second goal. Abby Forrester, Olivia Toolin and Gabby DeAngelis each added a goal for Bedford (4-0).
Jade Tureman scored the lone goal for Spaulding (0-3) in the 28th minute.
Manchester 4, Nashua South 1: At Gill Stadium in Manchester, Tori Keyes scored twice to lead the Little Green (2-1). Madison Tremblay and Katie McIntire also scored for Central. Kendra Santoro tallied the lone goal for South, which dropped to 2-1.
Hillsboro-Deering 4, Trinity 3 (OT): In Hillsborough, the Hillcats (2-1) knotted the score at 3-3 in the 80th minute and scored the game-winner seven minutes into overtime. Kelley Francis scored twice, Sarah Bradley also had a goal and Bella Bruno logged two assists for Trinity of Manchester (2-2).
Derryfield 1, Belmont 0: In Belmont, Emmy Plage scored the game-winning goal in the box on a breakaway with two Red Raiders defenders trailing behind her in the 25th minute. Brooke Nolan made seven saves for the Cougars (1-2). Belmont is 1-1-1.
Winnacunnet 3, Timberlane 0: In Plaistow, Winnacunnet of Hampton improved to 2-0 behind two goals from Carolyn Thompson and another from Hannah Ritchie. Timberlane is 0-1.
Bedford 3, Bishop Guertin 0: In Bedford, the Bulldogs won, 25-20, 25-14, 25-22, in both teams’ season opener. Libby Knapp logged four kills and four digs, Emma Charron tallied 18 digs and Alicia Glasheen recorded nine assists and three aces for Bishop Guertin of Nashua.
Inter-Lakes 3, Trinity 0: In Meredith, Inter-Lakes (2-0) won, 25-9, 25-10, 25-11. Sophomore Taylor Hasselbach recorded 10 digs, three aces and one kill for Trinity of Manchester (0-1).
