Emma Johnston recorded two goals and an assist for the Pinkerton Academy of Derry field hockey team in the Astros’ 4-0 defeat of Winnacunnet.
Johnston bookended the scoring, putting in the first and last goals of the game and adding an assist to Lauren Riviere in between. Quinn Mailloux, who was assisted by Justin Doyle, also scored for the Astros. Pinkerton remains undefeated at 10-0. Winnacunnet is 7-3.
Gilford 6, Laconia 0: In Laconia, Randi Byars notched two goals to lead Gilford passed the Sachems (3-5-1). Freshman Murphy Harris contributed her first varsity goal for the Eagles, who are 8-3.
Londonderry 3, Keene 1: In Londonderry, the Lancers did all their damage in the second half, coming from behind after Ainsley Hubbard scored for Keene (3-8). Courtney Shay responded with a pair of goals to push the Lancers out in front, 2-1, and Rease St. Gelais put the game away with 2:07 remaining. Londonderry is 9-2.
Pinkerton 3, Dover 1: In Derry, Ella Dandrade (24) and Reese Asselin (20) combined for 44 digs for the Astros (11-1). Sarah Taylor added 13 kills for Pinkerton while Sierra Edgecomb had 13 service points. Katie Cantwell (eight service points, two assists) and Rachel Vitko (eight kills) played well for Dover (9-3).
Winnacunnet 3, Bishop Guertin 0: In Hampton, Libby Knapp had 12 kills to lead the Cardinals (6-6). Lydia Litvak was next on the team in kills with five and also added two blocks. Kristen Coumas contributed 13 assists and seven digs. Maddy Keating had 10 digs. The Warriors are 8-4.
Hollis/Brookline 3, Alvirne 0: In Hollis, Kaleigh Whalen had 11 kills for the Cavaliers (12-0). Hanna Close (7) and Emily Dreyer (3) combined for 10 more. Sammie Sheppard contributed five aces and 16 digs. Alvirne is 3-8.
Londonderry 4, Salem 0: In Londonderry, Olivia Stowell had a hat trick for the Lancers, scoring once in the first half and twice over a four-minute span in the second half to lead Londonderry (11-0). Alyssa Anderson scored the first goal of the game in the eighth minute. Salem is 2-8-1.
Memorial 1, Windham 0: In Manchester, Mackenzie Brisson was a stone wall in the net for Memorial (3-6-1), collecting 16 saves, including a penalty kick stop. Alyson Veilleux was responsible for the Crusaders. Windham is 3-8.
Winnacunnet 4, Merrimack 3: In Hampton, Riley Streeper, Cara Sullivan and Bella Saxon each had a goal for Merrimack (4-6). Winnacunnet is 4-7.
