Luigi’s Pizza received goals from five players in a 5-3 victory over Phaneuf Funeral Homes in recent Manchester men’s hockey league action.
Don Bergeron, David Abbott, Roger Lajeunesse, Roy Hull and Mark Crowley (empty-netter). Mike Gamache had two assists.
Scoring for Phaneuf were Guy Chouinard and Danny Leblanc, who had two goals. Nick Therrien had a pair of assists. Dan Smith earned the win, making 21 saves. Scott Greer had 23 for Phaneuf.
In the second game of the night at JFK Coliseum, Visiting Angels and Atlas Precision Metal Fabricators played to a 7-7 tie.
The Angels rallied for four third-period goals to forge the tie. Atlas got two goals from Roger Lavoie and singletons from Bob Bechard, who also had four assists, Gene Webber, who had three assists, Doug Martin, Mike Dunne and Keith Corbett.
Scoring two goals each for VA were Jim Figueira and Glen Boisvert. Paul Marineau, Mike Berube and Jeb Sayer also scored. Rocky Desrosiers had 25 saves for the Angels while Craig Spross turned aside 23 for Atlas.
Jan. 25 games
LeClerc State Farm Insurance scored three unanswered goals in the third period and went on to defeat Atlas Precision Metal Fabricators 5-2.
LeClerc got goals from Eric Lajeunesse, Artie Soucey, Mike McGaffigan, Dave Beliveau and an empty-net goal from Tony Cabana, which sealed the win.
Tony Hallee contributed two assists. Scoring for Atlas were Mike Dunne and Bob Bechard. Mark Sloan earned the win for LeClerc, turning aside 23 shots. Chris Gaska had 22 saves for Atlas.
In the second game, Visiting Angels moved past Atlas and into fourth place as a result of their 10-6 win over Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium.
Steve DesRuisseaux led the way for the Angels with two goals and four assists. Jeb Sayer, Joe Deleault and Craig Beck each tallied twice for VA. Rounding out the scoring for the winners were Lance Laverrierre, who also had four helpers, and a Bruce Belanger goal into an empty net. Phaneuf got a goal and two assists from Glenn Ranfos along with singletons from Marshall Young, team captain Mark Stearns, Kevin Lewis and Guy Chouinard.
Rocky Desrosiers, VA and Scott Greer, Phaneuf, each ended up with 25 saves.
