The Manchester Monarchs scored the game's final three goals and beat the Adirondack Thunder 4-2 on Friday night in the opener of the ECHL first-round playoff series in Glens Falls, N.Y.

Daniil Miromanov scored at 18:33 of the second period to tie the game 2-2, and, after Nic Pierog tallied at 4:40 of the third period to put the Monarchs ahead, Miromanov scored again, at 9:11 to give Manchester a cushion.

Goalie Charles Williams stopped 50 shots for the victory. Evan Cormier made 23 saves for Adirondack.

Pierre-Luc Mercier also scored for Manchester, at 2:34 of the first period.

Game 2 of the best-of-seven series is set for tonight in Glens Falls.
