Charles Williams made 39 saves for the Manchester Monarchs in a 3-1 win over the Reading Royals on Friday night in ECHL play at SNHU Arena.

Joe Sullivan and Tony Camaranesi scored first-period goals to put the Monarchs up 2-0. Sullivan scored his fifth of the season at 10:55 on assists from Craig Wyszomirski and Jack Nevins, and Camaranesi notched his ninth at 18:56 from Spencer Watson and Daniil Miromanov.

Travis Walsh gave Manchester a 3-0 cushion with a power-play goal at 4:50 of the third period. Wyszomirski and Dexter Dancs assisted.

Reading’s Frank DiChiara ruined the shutout with a goal at 12:45 of the final period, his 10th of the season, from UNH product Kevin Goumas and Jack Riley.

The Monarchs are back in action Sunday in Worcester, Mass., for a 3:05 p.m. game against the Railers.
