The Tuesday game between the Boston Red Sox and Baltimore Orioles was postponed because of sustained rain near Fenway Park in Boston.

The contest was called in the mid-afternoon with forecasts anticipating rain throughout the afternoon and evening, according to the Red Sox.

The game will be rescheduled for Wednesday as part of a day-night doubleheader. The opener will start at 1:05 p.m. ET, and the regularly scheduled contest is slated to begin at 7:10 p.m.

David Price is scheduled to start the opener; fellow left-hander Chris Sale will pitch the nightcap. Price was the scheduled starter on Tuesday.

Baltimore announced right-hander Ryan Meisinger will start Game 1, though a starter for Game 2 has yet to be determined. Right-hander Jimmy Yacabonis was slated to start Tuesday.
