Since its inception in 2002, the New Hampshire Union Leader's annual 40 Under Forty awards have honored more than 720 outstanding Granite Staters making a difference in their communities and professions.  Nominations are gathered from across the state and are followed by a reception in March.

The Union Leader is proud to present the New Hampshire State Spelling Bee.  Nearly 200 of the state’s top spellers compete in the state competition.  The winner of the New Hampshire Bee advances to the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington D.C.

The Silver Linings: Senior Healthy Living Expo provides a face-to-face forum for the public to hear directly from experts, advocates and care providers.  The Senior Healthy Living Expo in Plymouth takes place in April and the Expo in Manchester takes place in September.

The Union Leader Headliners Series presents intimate, in-depth conversations with unique, compelling and inspiring guests with local ties to the region.   We will walk through the guest’s history, how they became who they are today and how being from New Hampshire has helped to shape their journey.

This series includes in-depth discussions of critical issues New Hampshire residents, companies and organizations face. Each event will bring together experts and key players for an open discussion of problems and solutions.

New Hampshire Union Leader signature events offer unique face-to-face experiences that inform, inspire and connect. Our awards events honor those in athletics, young leaders, heroes and those who have left a lasting legacy in the Granite State.

Our Symposium Series brings together community and business leaders to discuss solutions to the state’s biggest issues and the Senior Healthy Living Expo connects seniors with businesses and services to help them enjoy a happy, healthy and satisfying life.

Voters First political events will provide an impartial forum to inform New Hampshire voters about the issues and candidates.

Attend or sponsor one of our events and become a part of honoring, educating and connecting New Hampshire.
